Screenless projection (San Diego Transcript)

FogscreenFogScreen has developed a screen that can be used to project large images in space. The company's device creates a curtain of fog using water, ultrasonic waves and fans that generate a thin flow of air. The curtain feels dry and cool to the touch, and you can even walk through it. The images are visible in daylight; the product is expected to find applications in malls, museums and convention centers. It costs about $40K and rents for about $1,300/day.
